I know, when in the last few months have I done any heavy blogging? Not at all! And today isn't any different, but here's a Youtube dedicated to Big East Football.
Can't say that I agree that this is the top football conference, but much better than three years ago! At least we don't take any shit off of the WAC anymore!!!

Mountaineer Fantasy Camp
Onion fans know this face. It's the face of Jim Anchower. And I think it's the face I made when I noticed this piece of information about the Mountaineer Fantasy Camp.
The camp will be held at Milan Puskar Stadium and the Puskar Building with meeting room chalk-talks and controlled competitions. On "game-day," campers will be able to experience running out of the inflated helmet in the South corner end zone. In addition, a tape of the three-day event will be made and sent to campers. They will have their own photo made with the WVU head football coach and also have a shot of the camper holding Sugar and Gator Bowl trophies. Is it just me, or does this scream of people that may or may not have graduated from high school, but really never left? I'm all for the university finding new ways to generate money, but I just have to laugh at anyone that would be involved in this! There's a fine line between fan and freak, and that line seems to have just been crossed!
Each day, campers will meet with Coach Rod and members of the staff, who will discuss how they handle their specific positions in meeting rooms. They will X and O with coaches, watch position tape, and then attempt to authenticate tape on the field in jerseys, shorts, socks and T-shirts. A game jersey, and two of the shorts, socks and T-shirts will be provided to keep. Rutledge encourages camper to bring their own tennis shoes and jocks.Oh boy Rutledge! Don't you know the kind of people you are dealing with? Don't say something in jest you will later regret!!!!
"Jocks will not be distributed. For one thing, no one wears jocks anymore. But if you want one. We'll find you one--autographed," Rutledge said with a laugh.
On top of finding out that WVU is going to take a stab at this, several other big schools also do it. What ever happened to just going to the game and cheering?

Billy Hahn Joins WV Coaching Staff
Ladies and gentlemen, it looks like we've got a screamer! Hehehe! Seriously, Billy Hahn adds a big chunk of recruiting know how to that of head coach Bobby Huggins.Hahn was promoted to associate head coach in 1997 and served as one of Maryland’s primary recruiters and was the lead scout in addition to his on-the-floor coaching and administrative duties. He recruited and coached three NBA Lottery picks (Walt Williams, Joe Smith and Steve Francis) and was named one of the top 10 recruiters in the eastern United States by Eastern Basketball.Hahn also got his start in coaching at Morris Harvey 30 years ago. Hmmmm, I always new it as the University of Charleston, so he's old!
Hahn joins assistant coach Erik Martin on the coaching staff. Damn, I should have just put up a link to Blue Gold News and told you to search the basketball news. Oh well, I guess I'm going to have to say something funny now. Wait a minute, I'll get that for you directly...... Oh, never mind.
Also in the news, Huggins was in Parkersburg last night along with several other assistant coaches from other sports as part of the Mountaineer caravan that is making its way around to the states booster organizations. Sadly, I didn't have $45 to spare on this. Then again, do I really want to go hang out with boosters? Not so much! Love what they did to help keep Rodriguez as the coach, but that don't mean I want to rub elbows with them. Maybe it's just me, but boosters seem to be a little to overly optimistic and homerific for my taste.
God I hate this time of year for college sports. I refuse to talk about anything other than football and basketball, so that pretty much paints me in a corner. At least everyone but the wrestling team is in good shape according to the latest APR report. Brandon Barrett reading to the Wrestlers, priceless!
