John Holmes Coming Back! Porn Industry Ecstatic!

Separated at Birth?

As thin as the defense was looking coming into this season, you have to kind of be happy that John Holmes has an opportunity to come back to the team. It's not set in stone that he's coming back, but let's be honest here. We've all had our experiences with weed. For some I'm sure it's a source of embarrassment. For others, it's a badge of honor. Which ever way you lean, we've all had this or something like it in our lives. Yes?
Holmes was arrested along with defensive lineman James Ingram and receiver Ed Collington on Feb. 5 on drug charges after a speeding stop. After noticing a strong smell of marijuana in the car, officers found individually packed bags of marijuana in Ingram’s shoe and on the floor where he was seated.
I mean, let's not blame Holmes because Ingrahm isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Ingram indicated there was marijuana also at his apartment. Armed with a search warrant, Monongalia County police found 23.5 grams of marijuana at his apartment.
You can blame him for hanging with a guy that sings like a Canary at the first sign of trouble. But let's don't get rid of him just yet. Holmes has a long way to go before he is back. He'll have to pay his own way. But more importantly, he's going to have to impress the team and coaches.
“This is just beginning,” Stewart continued. “I will talk with our seniors about it. We’ll see what happens this summer. If he meets all the requirements, he can come back to the team, but it’s a long way until August.”

As for Ingram and Collington, Stewart said there was “no chance” of them being reinstated on the football team.
Despite his mental failings, Ingram would have provided depth at a position that is going to be thin this year as a defensive lineman. Collington was never going to see anything more than mop up duty. But Holmes is that odd creature that lurks somewhere between the realm of linebacker and safety. And in the 3-3-5 defense that we curse up and down until it whips a Sooner, Holmes is like gold.
